Today our family is looking at a new house that might be our next MOVE! We’ve lived in our current home for almost 11 years! I remember the first night we slept in our home. We had 2 small children ages 3 and 1. We went to church the first week with our rambunctious 3 year old and our equally exuberant daughter that looked like BOO from Monsters Inc. and realized we’d found HOME. I like to walk around at night when the kids are asleep and the house is clean and think of what a nice house and neighborhood we live in.
Life is about change and constant motion. We can’t predict the future. We do our best with the paths in front of us and then set to work to make them the VERY best ever. We’ve looked at homes for several years now. We’re not in a hurry but I feel the right one has come along and I’m excited for a NEW adventure. Our family of 2 children has grown to 5 kids and 2 dogs and it would be nice to have a place to spread out a little.
I’ve liked having the smallest house of all my friends! I love being different. I didn’t always feel that way. When I was younger I looked at someone else and wanted to be them. One thing I’ve learned as I’m nearing 39 (: is first, my forties are going to be the best years yet and second, EMBRACE and be HAPPY with who you are!!!
I’m glad I can fit into anything in my closet comfortably even though my scale won’t budge anymore.
I’m glad I’m NOT petitie. I’m tall and when I wear heels I’m taller than my husband. Who cares? I tell him he’s Tom Cruise.
I’m glad I don’t like James Taylor and U2 like the rest of the world.
I’m glad I don’t tell my kids that Santa Claus is real and it’s o.k. if I get a yucky feeling every time the Christmas decorations come out in the stores.
I’m glad I tear out of the driveway with a minute to spare to get the kids to school and ALL the other Moms in the neighborhood leisurely walk their kids every day.
I’m glad I like to cook healthy.
That changes my ranting over to food! I LOVE Oxygen magazine. I got an email newsletter the other day that said, “9 FAT LOSS FOODS FOR FALL”. That sounded awesome so I opened it up. A recipe was posted by each food and they ALL looked so good! I promptly went to the store to buy the ingredients for each recipe, forgetting my dumb goal weight of 129. I did make one of the recipes and it was DELISH!! It looks like I’ll be cooking all weekend. Here’s the list of healthy foods. Click HERE to go to the article to make the recipes. SO GOOD!!!
4-Turkey (This is the one I made. It was a yummy, little bit spicy soup!)
9-Brussels Sprouts (I might not make this one. Yuck to brussels sprouts.)
Enjoy a Fall day cooking in the kitchen!!!
Last 2 glads of the day! I’m glad I’m 131 lbs. And I’m glad I have REAL friends. Friendship is a priceless treasure!
Embrace who you are and what makes you different from everyone else!
Enjoy the weekend of Great Food and Friends!
