Kickstart 4 week plan

Happy Monday!  Time to restart my goals (:  I’m excited to announce that I signed up for the dietbet challenge!  Yee-haw!  I’d never even heard of it, but since Jamie Eason was hosting, I signed up!  I did pretty crappy on my Oxygen Challenge so I’m redeeming myself.  I like it because it’s only 4 weeks.  It started today and will finish on Nov. 22.  She’s already posted workouts and meal plans.  Check it out HERE!

I really wasn’t doing it for the money, I just like to win!  You pay $30 bucks and then if you lose 4% of your body weight you win your money back by splitting the pot with everyone else who won.  I actually already got my money back because they gave me an MVP shoutout for inviting so many people to join (:  I got an email from Jamie and she told me to pick out whatever I wanted from her supplement line, so I’ll be getting some protein powder in the mail!  Yippee!

Then, to add extra lbs. to my weight loss, I decided to sweeten up the weekend!  Yes, I gained 6 lbs.  Ha ha!  That should be gone by the end of the week though and then I’ll still have 3 weeks to lean out.  Eating treats is fun, and I did it on purpose, but I am NOT a happy camper after too much indulgence.  I’m actually pretty mad at myself.  This will be a pay back week, which I love anyway!!  I like to be on top of my game and sometimes I get a little caught up in perfectionism, not so good really!

Today started out great with a 6 mile run with my friends which I can’t keep up with anymore!!  I would be putting in many CRYING emojis here if I knew how!!  My goal for running will be to run 3 times a week.  One will be with my friends (they push me) and one will be with myself staring at my Garmin so I run faster, and the third will be whatever, treadmill work or another solo run.  I got a new tank today that made me feel pretty cool from one of my favorite fitness gals!  I think she’s detoxing right now too because she just gave a schpill on being perfect and a cool green detox drink!  Her body is my goal and I love her motivational words.

And here I am in her way cute tank!  It’s a symbol of a track in the shape of an A.  I just finished my weight workout with my friends and I’m eating one of my favorite post workout snacks.  A vanilla or coconut yogurt with a spoonful of cocoa powder in it!  When I got my tank in the mail she even wrote a cute little personalized thank you on the receipt!  Excuse the dirty mirrors.  Right after this I will be turning on Maroon 5 Pandora and cleaning the bathrooms.  I need to get to the yard too.  I better get moving!

This will be a great week!  Keep it simple.  This is what I’ll be focusing on in my diet right now!

I’m also going to try Amber’s detox drink (:  The ingredients are: spinach, kale, celery, parsley, cucumber, romaine, and lemon.  My mouth is watering!  (: I did feel a cold coming on this morning so I’ll be doing this for sure!

My backyard sounds like it has dinosaurs walking around!  We have some excavating and placements of HUGE rocks goin’ on!  YAY!!  I’ll have to post pictures of that too!  I’ll be back towards the end of the week with an update on my weight loss and more hard core stick to it no matter what words of wisdom!  Thanks for listening to the rambling!  Work Hard Forever.  Always…(:

February is here

It’s a new month.  2nd month of the year.  Time to revisit my goals!!  My weight is at 133.  That will be goin’ down this week!  Here’s the grand list:

1-No candy-Perfect!!  A

2-Treat day once a week.  A- I had a couple extra at the first of the month, but the last 2 weeks of the month I’ve had none.

3-Weigh once a week.  A Yes.  And for sure now with my new challenge.  Thursday is weigh day.

4-Measurements once a month.  Yes.  I did them again at the end of January.  My waist went down an inch and the rest stayed the same.

My spiritual goals were good too.  I need to work on the eating out budget and one less movie a month.  Reading with my Darci improved, but I need to be better.  I’m hangin’ in there.

My friendly rivalry between my friends is going to be interesting.  We ran 12 miles on Saturday and were discussing the challenge.  One of my friends was placing her bets on one of us (it wasn’t me) and I told her that she just gave me the biggest motivation.  When someone tells me I can’t do something…I kick it up 10 notches and resolve to NOT FAIL (:  I’m doin’ just fine with less crap and more healthy food!

We had a crazy busy week last week with my daughter’s ballet recitals.  I got thinking about some old ballet pictures of ME!!  Here’s one from MANY years ago.  I thought this costume was the BOMB!!  Boy, have they come a LONG way!

And another picture of me with FLOWERS from my Grandpa’s funeral.  I miss them this time of year!  I’m about six years old in both these pictures.

47a1d600b3127cce9854fed3a26300000045100AcMnLhkzbNWPgMonday is my day for FOOD talk but I don’t have anything to say about that!  I did legs this morning and I’m tired.  I’ll get busy with the housework!  I will share a song of the day that made me cry buckets yesterday at church.  One of my favorite songs.  I know that my Savior loves me.  Have a beautiful day!

Eat clean, all over body workout, and fun fashion

One week into my healthy eating.  I weighed in at 133 today.  I feel pretty good about that!  I’ll keep at it.  I don’t feel hungry and cravings are small.  Here is my eating advice:  Make dinner.  This week I made stir fry and turkey burgers, which the kids don’t really like so I have lots of left overs for me!  I snack on veggies and hummus.  I have an apple and a protein bar every day.  At night if I’m hungry I make a protein shake.  I fill a tall glass of half soy or almond milk and half water and add one scoop of casein protein powder and blend it up with my handy dandy hand blender.  It’s yummy and fills me up!  My clients are doing well!!  I’m happy when they stick with the diet and exercise plan and they start seeing  results.

I’m committed to my marathon training so my friend and I took off on a snowy run this morning.  I’ve been trying to run 4 days a week.  Some of them end up on the treadmill at the gym.  I can only handle about 5 miles on a treadmill!  My workout at the church was stellar this week!  We had a great group and I think we were all pretty much trashed at the end.  Mission Accomplished!

We did a trio of exercises.  Each one for a minute for 3 rounds.  Then we alternated switch lunges or walking lunges.  We finished with abs at the end.  1 hour workout DONE!

0001POSo today is a little bit of everything!  I’ve got two outfits to share.  A Sunday outfit with my little girl and my birthday present outfit from my friends.  Love LULU!!

securedownload-1 securedownloadKeep working hard!  Be happy!

I think you shine the brightest!

Oh!  Happy Friday!  I think I’d like to play games with the kids this weekend!  We’re all busy and we need to sit down and relax!!  I’m lovin’ my healthy eating challenge. I was running with my friends the other morning and one of our friends is going to be the official “manager”.  She said I could weigh in with her every week.  We came up with a 3 strikes you’re out policy since my friend needs to ease up on the strictness for a trip to Florida.  Geez…really? (:  I’m excited to see what I can do.  I’m officially on Day 2!  I’ve been doing my AB challenge every night as well and it’s getting kinda hard.  One thing I have to deal with when I eat real healthy is I’m colder?  Weird.  I don’t know why.  I carry the space heater around with me most of the day!  O.K.  Friday outfit of the day is nothing fancy.  I don’t have a workout outfit again.  I’d like to do another split progress photo but I had to take a break from that because I pulled a muscle showing off my flexibility skills.  I’m not a spring chicken anymore!  I love jeans and mostly wear them everywhere I go.  These are some of my favorites!  The brand is MEK.  I think that’s a Buckle brand.

securedownload I haven’t weighed myself for awhile.  I don’t know why except I’m worried it isn’t where I want it to be.  I’m going to give this challenge one week and then I’ll weigh in.  Today for lunch I made a delishioso salad.  It took a few minutes to put together.  Butter lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, crab salad, and a little bit of dressing.  Yum!

securedownload-1I need to go visit my parents too.  I’m glad they live so close.  I might take them to see Saving Mr. Banks this weekend.  I loved that movie.  Have a beautiful weekend and remember Spring is getting closer with each day!  Here is a little artwork message from my sweet sister!

How to fit into white pants

Happy MONDAY!!  Today started off awesome with a 7 mile trail run!  I’ve been a little worried about my narcolepsy.  If you don’t know what that is, look it up (:  I don’t think one can live a vacation lifestyle, stay at home Mom of 5 kids lifestyle, and a running like crazy exercise lifestyle at the same time without symptoms of narcolepsy!  Lately, this is me on most days!

securedownload-2We’ve taken our kids everywhere, been to concerts, out to lunch, up mountains, and down rivers.  Here we are at a few outings this past week!

securedownload securedownload-1 securedownload-3My favorite day trip was a visit to my Aunt and Uncle’s cabin in Provo canyon.  A childhood favorite filled with memories.  We hiked up a mountain that was falling apart!  We floated down the Provo river on tubes with my 80 year old uncle and cousins.  I was proud that I got all 5 of my children down the river safely!  I can’t say my diet has been totally clean these days!  It’s been too much fun to snack and enjoy yummy summer food.  I think that’s fine if you don’t stay off the wagon for long.  I’m going to try and keep it in check this week so I can fit into my favorite white pants for my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary party on Saturday!  You’ll have to see if I made my goal by what I’m wearing!  I am lucky that I’ll be running 16 miles that day!

After my 15 miler last week, I realized this is the ultimate post workout stretch!!

securedownload-6It was a great run!  I didn’t feel super strong, but at one time during the run, my fastie friend told me to slow down!  What a compliment!

Onto my advice for how to fit into a favorite pair on pants!  Besides running and lifting, which you should do EVERY day as effective and strong as possible, you should fill your body with good fuel!  I follow a fitness enthusiast that helps keep me motivated.  She’s real close to my height and build.  Her name is Erin Simmons.

ErinSimmons_HeaderWhen I get in a non healthy eating rut, I pull out inspirational people’s eating plans.  She also has amazing abs!  Here is a great video for abs that I want to try too!

Click HERE to see here daily eating plan!  For the most part I need to fill up on protein, fiber, fruits, and vegetables.  This will help!!

Next adventure on the list is a 2 day trip to Bear Lake.  This one will be relaxing, read a book condo style trip.  I still want to run or do a killer workout such as 10 sets of 30 burpees and 30 situps!!  I read that workout on Erin Simmons’ blog!  GEEZ!!  I just might try it.  Scary (:
