A whole lotta decorating dreams

I LOVE finding the perfect decor piece for my new house!  I’ve wrestled over rug options for quite some time now and I think I found what I want!   First off, a few photos of the house.

My kitchen is coming along and I am in LOVE with it.  Today, all appliances are working!!  Tomorrow night will be our first REAL meal in the new house.  What a party!  I’m lacking barstools, but I found an example of one I like!  It’s from a website called hayneedle.com.  Lots of stuff for everything in the home and reasonable prices too.  Now, I just need 6 of these!

  So, two spots in my home need rugs right now.  The first one is in our piano section of the great room.

Next, I have an awesome formal entryway.  I’m being a little more daring here!  I love color and this is perfect.

I found a really pretty green entryway table that will look perfect with this too!  Down the list a ways I’m looking for an accent chair.

I found these at hayneedle .com too.  Last, but certainly not least is the search for new bedding!  I found what I wanted at Crate and Barrel and then I read they were unavailable online ):  I might need to keep searching.  So cozy!

I’m happy it’s the weekend.  I’m getting sick of the cold and REALLY missing green and flowers and warm, fresh air.  I might rebel a little and run on the treadmill tomorrow.  At least I have my Tunes and my Thoughts * Sweet Weekend House projects are fun to do!

Motif Monday!

Hello!!  One week in the new house!  We are getting situated and I feel I can relax a little.  First off, I’ve been going crazy deciding on a curtain and rug combo for my dining room.  We have a 12 foot window in our dining room and we’ve been freezing without a curtain.  After searching high and low here is what I FINALLY decided on!

I love the decorating part of the house.  I found a most inspiring design I NEED for my house and…I’m going to make it myself!  I LOVE this saying and I want my kids to believe and live this!!

I also LOVE this picture I’ve had for years.  I hung it up in my BOY section of the house.  Take care of each other.

OH, OH…we also got half our granite installed this weekend.  The rest will be coming today.  It still needs to be cut out for the sink and stove top.  Our good friend is helping us with it.  He’s making us a granite sink too!

The lighting is not the best in this picture.  Here is a professional one.  I LOVE the huge swirls.  It’s different than what most people choose.

Lots of busyness going on in our lives.  I’ve enjoyed getting to know the neighborhood and organizing the house.  Funniest thing, we were talking with my parents the other day about what our kids say about us.  Kids are very honest.  This is what my daughter said about me, “She’s a health nut, clean freak, and she gets mad when I cry.”  Nice.

We had another beautiful covering of snow yesterday too.  I’m glad I got a 7 mile run in on Saturday and a relaxing Sunday morning walk with the dog before the snow hit.  Here is the view from my front porch!

Winter Wonderland

Not so much of a FIT message today.  I’ll post a killer “get back in the groove and burn a million calories” workout on WEDNESDAY!!  Life is getting more normal for us.  I’ll be sticking to my goals and getting caught up on my personal training studying that I love.  Have a great day!!  Rainbows are coming SOON*  I need a Breath of Fresh Air!
